The all new nxV200 VFET-MOSFET Audio Amplifier Module is a very high performance, high end audio amplifier module. The sound quality from this amplifier module is absolutely stunning!!! Utilising the latest SMD low noise, high linearity Toshiba and Zetex transistors And very rugged high performance Toshiba VFET-MOSFET output stage. The Topology is based around a highly refined complementary differential input stage, with a super high gain, high linearity MOSFET cascoded VAS. With a complementary Toshiba VFET output stage. The nxV200 has a flat distortion curve 0.006% from 5hz to 20khz and a frequency response of 5hz to 300khz -3dB and a very low noise amplification of -120dB and is able to drive on a continuous sine wave basis into 4 ohm loads and up. But the nxV200 is not all specification's the sound quality is very detailed and has a wonderful deep sound stage and does not have the dry flat sound quality often reported by user's of Class D audio amplifiers. Output Stage Bias Stability of the nxV200 Unlike a number of VFET and HEXFET designs that are out there. The nxV200 output stage bias stability is rock solid at any power level or load. Once the bias has been set it will not drift more than a few millivolts over its normal power range. There has been some designs I have come across that tend to over compensate the biasing and course excessive crossover distortion to happen as the power increases, or in the other extreme the bias is very hard to set and drifts all over the place and overall tends to under compensate. Which then places the output stage in a position of been a time bomb waiting to explode and in a lot of cases often does. |
